The Environment and Infrastructure focus area includes all technicalaspects of how streams and reservoirs interact with infrastructure suchas roads, railroads, pipelines, levees, buildings, and dams. Streamsideinfrastructure may be impacted by flood inundation and erosion fromchannel migration. Stream channels and floodplains may also beimpacted by streamside infrastructure that impede the flow of water, transport of sediment, or natural migration of stream channels.
